On Becoming A Librarian 4 years ago

I’ve struggled with making a career choice for a long time. About a year ago I determined that becoming a librarian would make a lot of sense for me. I love books and the seeking of knowledge. Also I have loved past experiences doing volunteer work in libraries, and I have some strong associations with the idea..
Most people don’t understand why becoming a librarian requires a Master’s Degree. Too be honest I don’t know what to say when they ask me why. I am aiming to have my MLIS by the time I am 32. In the meantime I would like to find an entry level position as a library technician.
