I’m not quite used to it yet and it’s stil difficult to remember to go to bed on time, but I’ve been waking up early because I have to now.
My little one has started nursery and we have to be there for 9.10 a.m and so I get up about 7.30 a.m. in order to get both of us out of the house on time. This allows time for any mishaps, tantrums or unforseen circumstances like not being able to find my little one’s winter hat!

I’ve been getting up a lot earlier than usual on odd days (7 or 8) here and there. It’s a great feeling to have many more hours in the day to get things done. When I get up early, I feel like I have more time with my family, I can get the chores and housework out of the way in the morning and have the rest of the day free to do whatever and it just really feels good to wake up to a quiet early morning atmosphere, which is so different to a 10 a.m atmoshpere.

I’ve realised that I could connect this goal to another one of mine about watching a sunrise. I would love to experience this in solitude and begin the day with endless possibilities about how to spend it.

Doesn’t sound very interesting but it actually is. Here is the link http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/05/how-to-become-an-early-riser/
I was very interested in the part of the article that talked about having more hours in the day to do stuff. Maybe then I wouldn’t feel like I need to stay up until the early hours of the morning.

I look like a zombie in the morning if I haven’t had enough sleep so this goal is partly a beauty remedy and partly a physical necessity. I mean, I really do want to be more alert and have more energy and I know enough sleep is one of the things that helps.
