decorate my apartment

I wasn’t really thinking about this goal a week ago when I went to the supplies shop and bought two 6×11 canvas and some paint. To be honest, I was just looking for some stress relief and I had the brilliant idea of just painting using my favorite colors.

Anyway, I’m just really pleased that I did this, because I got to hang my finished artwork on my bare walls.

I’ll take a picture of it later, then post it here.

I now have a couch. It feels really good. Just before going to work today, I watched a little bit of TV while sitting on my new couch. It was a nice change from sitting cross legged on the floor.

Next thing that I’ll buy would be a sidetable then a lamp. Already counting the days…

is payday! And I’m so excited because I’m going to buy a new couch for our apartment. I’ve already formulated a plan on how I’m going to accomplish this goal. I’ll be doing this one area at a time. For now, I’m going to fix the living room and the kitchen. Eventually, I’ll be setting up this reading area that I’ve been daydreaming about for as long as I can remember.

J, one of my bestfriends, and I have been talking about this fairly often these past couple of weeks. We’ve been comparing our lists of things to buy and debating where’s the best place to get them. We both agreed that what we should get first is a couch since sitting on the floor is not really that appealing anymore.

I can’t wait!

I haven’t done anything about this. I am constantly bogged down by job-related stress and the emotional rollercoaster ride that my girlfriend puts me through.

I should start making plans, because my apartment doesn’t feel like a refuge anymore. It’s now an extension of work and a constant reminder of unfinished projects. For the next couple of weeks, I’m going to do something decent for my living room and kitchen. I’ll have the money and the time by then.
