considering school options 10 months ago

I am evaluating a different BSN program to see which one makes the most sense. I have had some sort of mental block about pursuing this degree, but it is something I truly want. I know that I will be thankful I did it sometime further on down the road. I am seriously considering becoming a nurse practitioner in about 10 years too. We shall see.

Paperwork 1 year ago

I got the official acceptance letter today. I still have some paperwork to send in – a copy of my nursing license and another health form. I need to send them a tuition deposit to reserve my place. I will send it all in by Monday so I do not delay my entrance. Getting kind of excited to start now.

Spoke with admissions rep 1 year ago

I should hear something within a week or two. If not, he told me to call him back. I need to get the tuition reimbursement paperwork from the hospital.

Chipping away 1 year ago

I sent requests for my transcripts and health records to be sent from my previous college to the new one. Made a checklist of things I must do to be able to register this fall.

Probably won’t make the cutoff for the spring semester registration – not to mention that I don’t have the extra money for tuition right now. At least if I hold off a bit, I can start getting tuition reimbursement from my employer beginning in June.

I saw this quote that applies to my situation 1 year ago

It was one of the sidebar quotes on this lovely site.

“Rivers know this: There is no hurry, we shall get there some day.”

Spring 2007 1 year ago

I am sick of stalling. It’s time to take some action. Today I called the college that I was accepted into and plan to attend. The person I need to speak with was not in, but I will call again later. I should be able to get the ball rolling in time for me to start classes on Jan. 16.

Missed deadline 2 years ago

Okay, so I missed the deadline for signing up for fall classes at my BSN program. I just graduated with my second associates degree in May. I started a new job in nursing—brand spanking new career and feel a little burnt on the academic thing at the moment. BIG learning curve with being a new nurse.

I am going to look into taking my required microbiology course online and get that thing out of the way. That way I can progress toward my goal but at a slower pace.
