Asked myself what it’s all for
You know the funny thing about it
I couldn’t answer
No I couldn’t answer…

You can never be free.
Completely free, that is. Freedom is always partial, never complete; to be totally free is impossible. One is free with respect to something, while, at the same time, is not free with respect to something else.
“Truth shall set you free”, the Gospels say; but someone forgot to add, “as long as you remain bounded to it”. As long as you believe something, or follow some ideal, you are not free -from that ideal, at least; but you are indeed free from everything else.
So, I will never, ever, reach this goal; I will never “be free”. Instead, I guess I’ll be reaching higher and wider levels of freedom with every new step and every new regret.
I’ll leave it in the very first place of my list, to remind me of this.
Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand…
dont want to lose it either. i have just realized one of the reasons I’m not free, not as free as I could be, anyway: i’ve never been alone!
I mean, I have been single once or twice for years or so, but I was always thinking of someone! And there, creeping in the back of my mind, this thoughts were trying to make me feel weak and alone…
I have never been alone.
Not really.
How sad! How good for me to have understood it at last!
but to be free, you sometimes have to do things that may hurt the ones you love and love you… and I guess you just have to take that risk and go ahead with your life as you see it, and hope for the better…
It may be obvious, but…
to be free means to be brave.
to be brave and dare to be yourself, no matter what.
and that is never easy…
so i’m getting there, getting there…
I want to be free, but…
what is freedom, anyway? How do you know when you get it? How do you recognize it?
and
How do you set yourself free?
and
can you be free and love someone at the same time?
