I remember once reading that the average child is criticized 12 times to every praise they get. That’s a 12:1 ratio of criticism to praise. I’m sure in some places the ratio is reversed but that would be the exception to the rule. Generally people grow up being criticized.
Parents would scold, reprimiand, and say harsh things. Teachers would do the same. The educational system hasa lost its focus on enlightening student but that’s another entry.
I just grew always criticizing myself and being my own worst critic. I could spend time and analyze how this came about but that wouldn’t do anything. It’s time to focus on the solution not the problem. Happiness will never be attained if one doesn’t love one’s self.
