My photos never look crisp. Wonder if it is my camera?

When I am taking photos, I feel totally exposed. I take shots of things that interest me, or have meaning to me. Beauty is my favourite thing to capture, but I also like strange, out of the ordinary things. Things that other people would just look at and say “why on earth did you take that photo?” and to be honest, a few months down the track I think to myself “That’s terrible, why on earth did I take that photo?!”

I want to be a great photographer. Someone that can inspire people through my pictures. Presently, most of my pics are out of focus, badly lit or just plain boring or cliched. Yes, I know I should go to a photograpy class or join a photography group…but that seems to take all the enjoyment out of it for me. I like to discover things for myself. I guess in that way, I’m more male than female. When I get a new gadget, I try and try to work it out or put it together without the instructions before admitting defeat. I feel that going to a photography class will only make my hobby a chore. Practice practice practice I suppose.
