get a bachelor's degree

I handed in my last assignment today. It feels very strange. I am no longer a ‘student’, which has been my ‘employment status’ for nearly 7 years. – well, not that long really, but most of it. I suppose I can now classify myself as a teacher! It feels a bit strange, but I’m sure I will grow into it! I will get my results and registration number in a few weeks, then I can look for a job. In the meantime, I’m ‘unemployed’. And it feels kinda good! for now anyway.

I recieved the best rating possible for my state after my interview!

I’m so over the moon!

I can nearly write this goal off as done! Just a couple of reports left and one week to go.

I’m so close to finishing and I’m getting so excited I cant sleep. I have my EQ interview tomorrow to decide how good a teacher I really am. I have nearly completed my Prac forever! I cant believe it! It has been so much easier than I once imagined, things are starting to fall into place. One more week at a high school for professional experience, then I’m done. Yip Yahhh!!!

I am starting to apply for jobs this week. Fingers crossed.

I am on my final prac (again!) at last. I am really loving it. I will start teaching full time on Monday for three weeks, have my Ed Queensland interview and get my rating. I still have 4 days of PCE (practical context experience) to go, I’m looking forward to that too. So hopefully, my next and last entry for this will be on Friday 10 November 2006! Bring it on!

I nearly had this… If the flu hadnt struck me down! And a severe bout of laryngitis. Yes, I would be a teacher now. Actually, last week. Now it wont be until November. I could go on forever about the disadvantages this causes. Including the lack of money and the plan that I could be working full time now. Instead, I have taken life by the throat (as I tend to do) and applied for full time jobs about the city in the area of Vocational Ed and Training (Something I also trained myself up for during my boring primary ed degree), despite this set back. Will know next week if I have the position (which are keen for me to finish my degree with flying colours by giving me a month off to complete it!!!). Fingers crossed!
