Dr Stranglove was definately strange. I dont think I got it. And The Flying Padre, I’m not a very good movie critic by any means, but I didnt really like that one either.
This is not looking good!

Kubrick has his own methodic way of creating films. Each detail is so carfully thought out and explored. Nothing is out of place in his films, yet, if you dont get his work, EVERYTHING can seem out of place. The way he uses music in his films is the thing I love the most, particularly in Eyes Wide Shut. I have seen Eyes Wide Shut, Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange (so many times my DVD died – yes, DVD!) and The Shining. If I should dare, I would compare Kubrick’s compassion for his films to Lucas with his original three Star Wars movies (episodes 4,5&6). The first and second episodes, although the use of up to date technical effects was available, I think they lacked the indepth character profiles which captured me in the original flicks. I appreciate the compassion and enthusiasm that both Kubrick and Lucas put into their films. I aim to absorb myself in Kubrick’s patience and deliberation by watching the rest of his flicks.
Kubrick Rocks. Just hope his other movies dont disappoint!
