buy a Mac

I am writng this entry on my “new” mac, I know what I have put my old G4 tower through and I really thought that the newer machines would have the same fortitude, turns out that the ibooks aren’t as reliable as some of the older towers and notebooks. For the first time ever I am doubting the power of the mac. I do LOVE this machine, but it’s given me some trouble and maybe it’s that I’ve been a mac addict for so long that I’m not used to anything going wrong. Still, and I hate to say this, but if you have a perfectly useful pc, I would wait to spend the extra cash until apple pulls it’s focus from ipods and phones or spend the milk money on an older mac for the fun of it.

I paid for it and am just waiting for it to arrive!! I guess I could mark it off, but feel like I should wait until it’s here.

After faithfully monitoring ebay for a laptop for a friend (her first computer), i found the perfect machine for her. She’s thrilled, but I couldn’t stop looking at the clamshells. A search got me looking at the “icebooks” and last night I bid on one at two a.m. and won the item! So I have purchased my mac. It’s not what I was expecting but it is right for me and a much needed upgrade from my tower. I’m still in shock-it was such an impulsive move, I thought for sure that someone would outbid me. So I’ve done a crazy thing bought a “new” computer when I am late on every bill I have.

I have had the same mac for 6 years, it was a gift from my ex. He was a jerk, but the mac changed my life! PC users have computer problems that mac users just don’t have. I have put this machine through soooo much and she is always there for me. I’ve never known anyone that is in LOVE with their PC. Mac users seem to bond with their machines, I want to buy one for myself, the one that I want for me. Right now I’m looking at an old ibook clamshell. I’ve always liked them, but in 2008 want to replace my desktop with a shiny new one I don’t know how hard will it be to let go of the one I have now.
