MOTIVATE ME 3 years ago

So i was kind of just focusing on getting in super-good shape and putting this one on the backburner BUT apparently now for pole vault they are actually going to check that we’re using a pole appropriate for our weight. I’m 132 right now and used to vaulting on a 120 pole but i’ll have to go up to a 135 which is harder. I should lose the weight anyway for me and for other sports but i’m a little pissed that the weigh in is monday and we found out about it tuesday. So obviously i’m not going to lose 12 pounds by then (yes i actually have to get under 120) but i may as well get with the program now, eh?

anyway the point was i really need to find a buddy or something because i’m definitely prone to cheating. i need support! hopefully it will help that i’m now on a personal vendetta against the weigh-in people. and that i actually have good reasons to lose weight.

but damn, i’m craving peanut butter.

right so in retrospect Plan A might have been a little ambitious. it’s going to take a little longer to get back into old habits. BUT, i’ve made it a goal to follow my diet and exercise regularly all this week. i think it’s hardest for me to get into the routine. happily, i found my wallet, so when i’ve finished this week (which i will) i can go get my massage. and then lose some more weight. plus, one of my friends today announced she’s trying to lose weight. which is cool since i’ve never been able to just announce it. diet is a four letter word among my friends (they’re mostly pretty skinny. or at least happy with their bodies).



so...here's a plan. 3 years ago

okay right now i’m working on getting back into my work out plan. I accidentally had cheesecake for lunch but it was the last piece so now there is officially NO junk food in the house. And i just went for a 2 mi (+?) run which i didnt think i was going to fit in today so its all good.

so here’s my goal:
lift 2 times
3 cardio work outs
+ log roll twice

by the end of next tuesday (i.e. one week from now)

and in theory if i make that goal i can treat myself to a massage. if i can find my wallet. and if there’s money in it.

one cardio work out down.
