Will I aim for 25? That’s a weight of 70.6kg. Maybe. I’ll think about that…
Actually, I may find it happens anyway. That’s how my last 8 months of weight loss have worked.

Actually, I may find it happens anyway. That’s how my last 8 months of weight loss have worked.
In the last five months, I’ve brought it down from 32.4 to 30.3
That’s so close to the landmark 30. Not far to go…
From 33.1 to 32.4 in four weeks.
I don’t feel I’m denying myself too much on the food front, just mostly cooking it myself instead of having it cooked by others (who put all sorts of rubbish and grease in).
Plus my background exercise level has gone up. I’ve not been going to the gym, but I’ve been generally walking more, cycling more and things like that.
I’m in no hurry… which really helps.
I’ve been having a tough time lately, so the healthy lifestyle has been suffering – I know that’s exactly when I should be extra careful, but sometimes something’s gotta give.
So we’re starting again at 93.6kg (yesterday’s weigh-in) which gives a BMI of: 33.1
My weight is down from last week though, so I think the trend has been set again, and I’ll continue to take it steady – no panicking and rushing.
(memo for my future reference BMI = weight * 0.354)
Ok… so I’m now measuring in metric, so a quick update…
Current weight: 89.1kg
Height: 1.68m
BMI: 31.5
So I’m getting there slowly approaching my goal.
I will be officially ‘overweight’ at 84.6kg and at the top end of ‘healthy’ at 70.5kg. This is all ‘give-or-take’, but gives a nice guideline.
This was easy… weight (in kg) divided by the square of height (in m). There’s a height measurer at the gym, so I used it today and came up with:
32.2
This is officially obese, but I am quite heavily built, so I never look as heavy as I am. I think I’ll probably aim for the top end of healthy in that case… that’ll be a weight of 157lb. I’ll be officially overweight, rather than obese at 189lb.
The first job is to work out my BMI. I believe it’s a pretty easy calculation, but I need to get around to it. Then I can look at the current situation and make a plan.
