I keep forgetting about this goal.
17 today.
Due to a lack of gym visits, my chest press is now down. I can’t remember the exact detail, but it’s something like 2 sets of 12 reps of 35kg.
In order to complete this goal, I’ll need to be on one set of 50 reps of 46kg (assuming my weight is distributed evenly through my body).
So I can, as I probably previously mentioned…
1) work on my strength
2) reduce my weight
...and together they should bring this goal in.
I didn’t realise when I started how difficult this one would be because I was, at the time, doing well on both counts. So what I need to do is focus and start doing well on both counts again.
Time to get myself in hand again and go for this one…
Actually… having held the position and put three more in, the ache is different. It’s in the top of my shoulders where I’ve never felt it before (as well as the usual spots)
Well, I’ve returned to the gym and my chest press is still 42kg. However, my weight is up – so I’m not expecting to manage any improvement on this goal just yet.
But soon…
Actually… looking back to where I started, it was three… I bet I can do four…
Yes. Just tried it… I can do four… probably more, but didn’t want to overdo it, especially with my arms seriously aching at the moment after the return to the gym.
Wow… has it really been seven weeks? Well, I haven’t really tried this much lately. Oops.
Having had a ridiculous break from the gym and push ups, thought I’d give it a go. Fifteen isn’t too bad and I don’t really feel like my arms are going to fall off either… I might have made it to seventeen if I’d really tried.
Thanks to John Lee for cheering this goal and therefore making me get my arse back in gear. :)
