send more postcards

This is easy, so I’ll count it done.

Two cards bought in the Netherlands, posted in Belgium.

I was seeing the other person I would have sent to on my return journey, so didn’t send one.

Three postcards sent from the post box half-way up Mount Fuji.

Once again, only one postcard… I was seeing everyone else I would have sent to during or straight after the trip.

But again… I managed to send a postcard. Hurrah for me!

It was made slightly more difficult this time because normally I write and post at the same time as my lady does… but this time she was writing while I was driving.

I only sent one postcard because it was a weekend away and I’ll probably see most people I’d send one to. But I sent one. From holiday.

It won’t count towards goal completion, but it’s worthy of note.

I sent four postcards from my Finnish trip. Even bought the stamps in Finnish.

Oh I am so clever! Woohoo!

Going to Finland in a few weeks… I must work out who I’m sending postcards to, and make sure I have their addresses.

I asked my ‘friend’ (who is now my lady) about postcards, and it seems quite easy… I just have to make sure I have the right addresses with me before I go, and not feel pressure to write too much or anything particularly interesting, and just get them sent.

I shall do so next time we’re on holiday…

I always buy postcards when on holiday. I never know who to send them to – which is silly now I think about it… everyone likes to receive a postcard. I never know what to write. And even if I write something, I’m nervous about buying stamps (don’t know why… it’s easy!). And then I don’t get round to sending them until I arrive home, if at all.

I went on holiday with friends last month, and one of them, without an ounce of conscious thought, bought postcards one day, wrote them that night, and found somewhere to post them next day. I need to take a leaf out of her book. I’ll ask what she writes (if she actually knows, of course!)

So… this goal is complete when, on my next THREE holidays I send at least THREE postcards. ON HOLIDAY. Not when I arrive home.
