This pic was taken last year on my 3rd summer in Sweden! We would go to his summer home every July and spend about 5 days, by which we would stroll around in the village, do blackberry picking (for making jam, pies, and juices), and other days we would do picnic by the cliff. My favorite of course is blackberry picking! There is really a sense of fulfilment when you take time to pick those fresh new berries and then make into food, I think everyone should do this, really fun!
We were able to meet up his childhood friend this time round, who has his own summer home just right next door to ours. Like everyone else, the summer home is already being passed down from generation to generation, just like the teacups used that’s shown on the pic. Pic also showed the freshly baked homemade strawberry shortcake and nice swedish coffee made by the family.
Went out with friends yesterday and found some shopping centres already have the christmas decor set up since few days ago! This year’s tree in this particular shopping centre-Takashimaya, has the usual big tall one but is prettier than last year, as it has the mixture of sweet pink color, I am charmed!
This pic was taken from the top view of a musuem at South of France. It was one of the few musuem trips during my study year at South of France, Aix-En-Provence.
I still remember fondly that this museum place was extremely pretty and charming, surrounded with lots of beautiful trees!! Oh man, just look at the pic, it’s just a really unusual and lovely musuem!! And the musuem is housed at some village.
I can’t remember the exact name of the musuem and village since it was like a decade ago I last been there, but I do remember that it was near St. Tropez. In it, it has some good collections of various famous artists but I seem to remember only Joan Miro and Matisse lol. Probably because the former appeals to me with his playful, abstract, and modern look in his paintings. And the latter appeals to me the most with his colourful, strong pattern, and radiance expression. =)
This place is definitely one of the best museums, or rather, the top 3 musuems I have been to so far!
Hmm, if there is anyone out there who knows this place well or been there before, do let me know the name, appreciate!
Clearly, one of the “must see” in the world!
I took this pic when I was working there for a year in 98. Had drove from Colorado to San Francisco with another friend..And yes, I had spent my Christmas there too!
The first time when I went to San Francisco for a vacation was actually in 93, but only saw Golden Gate in the day time. I was struck by its beauty and so I decided I should come back again (5 yrs later :)) and take the evening view…And there you go, I did it, I did fulfil my dream to come back and take another great pic again!! WOOT! And boy, I was lucky to take with the fog as well! lol
Sweden, easily one of my top favourite countries in the world!
This pic was taken about 2 yrs ago when I was living there during winter time.
It was my 2nd winter experience over there, but as usual, coming from a typical Singaporean mindset, this would feel like a disaster to us :P Considering that we are blessed from any natural disaster, seeing snow storm or walking through thick snow is like a disaster befalling us or a BIG event of the life lol.
It was always exciting to see snow for the first time for us but it gets a bit depressing after a while, mainly because of the dark sky. I got up at dim sky, and it got slightly brighter, and then became dark again within hours, just about when I finished my lunch :(
Why are Swedish Winter Skies always so blue?..
P.S. This pic was taken at his home area, not in the mountain of course, it’s right in the heart of Stockholm :)
I simply love this pic I took!! It depicts the pretty winter scene and the winter blue feeling I was going through!! Pretty to look at but scary to step out of the house lol
This picture was taken at the west side of Singapore, “The yacht club”! Over here in Singapore, a day’s wedding usually includes a few hrs of outdoor photography session. It’s taken place after the morning tea ceremony and before the wedding dinner.
The couple in the pic is my cousin and her hubby, who is now based in Shanghai (work attachment)..So she usually travels to Shanghai as and when she takes leave from her office work. Lucky gal!
This is one of my few fav pics of Czech Republic, taken at the old town next to the huge revolving ancient clock. The figurines on the clock have definitely fascinated me and I was stuck in this place staring at them for the longest time!!
Anyway, I am so proud to have this pic taken because I had snapped the pic on time when this old carriage was passing through ..fast!!
I love, love this pic I took in Sweden during Christmas time..It’s taken from one of the Swedish friends’ home.. As you can see, the home setting is very scanadavian style. And look at the amt of snow piling outside..yet we felt very warm and “stylish” in the house lol… So, I couldn’t help it and had to capture this pretty scene :)
My dream is to see more wonderful things in this world and record them down all in pictures..
