my computer is now upstairs . . . so walking up and down those stairs 420 times a day is going to help. :)

No weight loss, and in fact, a 1.5 pound gain in recent weeks! Ack! I am so not happy about that.
I have, however, noticed a particular problem I am having. Well, there are two, but one kind of surprises me . . . that food has just been tasting so GOOD to me lately. Not every little thing, of course, but quite a few things just taste so awesome that I want to EAT a lot more. I mean, really want to eat, rather than just doing it out of boredom (which is the other problem I am having) or loneliness or depression or just because I am hungry. Strange to me that I find myself wanting to eat because things taste good lately. Hubby says that it could be that some taste buds, for like bitter or sour, are dying off. I wonder if perhaps I suddenly had a bunch of taste buds come alive again since I haven’t been smoking for the last seven months. Either way, I am having an enjoyment of food that is unusual for me.
As an added danger to this problem, Hubby and I discovered a new grocery store yesterday evening called Central Market. Think Whole Foods but BETTER and BIGGER. We wandered around just sniffing for quite some time (I don’t remember EVER going into a store where I could just walk near the cheese section and be able to smell all those wonderful cheeses!!), discovering new areas that we missed and just enjoying the smells of all the foods around us . . . then we grabbed a basket and actually bought some. :)
We ended up with “simple” fare . . . some roasted in house lunchmeat (fantastic turkey and roast beef) with fresh baked garlic and Montery Jack cheese bread . . . a loaf of fresh baked pumpkin bread . . . fresh baked chocolate chunk cookies . . . fresh baked English muffins . . . real butter . . . Liberte yogurt (and OMG, if you’ve never tried that brand, do it!), and some positively yummy apple cider . . . and we restrained ourselves with these items. Coming home and eating was just a most wonderful experience for me . . . everything tasted so good!
Oh, and that doesn’t even take into account the really wonderful unsalted, fresh almonds that I bought (in bulk, by the pound) at Sprouts the other day. Yummy! And even just as simple as a Stouffer’s French bread pizza . . .
So how do I make food not so yummy again???? I’ll never lose weight this way!
I am not doing well with this and I am definitely feeling fat and stupid, among other things. sighs
when Hubby comes home from work and brings potato chips and dip that he says is for me. Sometimes I feel like he is trying to sabotage my weight loss efforts, even though I know it is not likely that he is even aware that I am making weight loss efforts.

A disappointing four pounds. My fault. I haven’t been as strict with my caloric intake. I need to do better this month.
This place has the most AWESOME food. Seriously. Luckily, I don’t live next door . . .
