From last Monday to this Monday 18 months ago

a loss of four pounds.



Mom has commented a couple of times 19 months ago

about maybe buddying up long distance . . . I’ll have to talk to her more when she is here and see what she is thinking . . . it might help both of us. I know that she is as unhappy with her weight as I am with mine.



There is a really nice walking path here 20 months ago

I dragged Hubby out with me when I took Lopez out to go potty, and after we brought her back (she is not great on walks, and she kind of runs into things), we went out and walked more along the path, for about half a mile total. I told him that we needed to start doing that a couple of times a week, so maybe I can get him to walk with me. We’ll see.



My food triggers 20 months ago

The triggers that often send me to the kitchen in search of food are:

  • stress
  • depression
  • loneliness
  • boredom
  • anxiety
  • alcohol
  • hunger

All of these except hunger are also smoking triggers for me, so they are double whammies. Hunger is the last on the list because it isn’t often actual hunger that has me eating – something that I seriously need to fix. I also need to re-learn how feeling hungry actually feels instead of the stress, depression, boredom, or whatever that makes me think I’m “hungry.”



I'm getting fatter by the day 22 months ago

I can’t win here.



I have gained weight 22 months ago

Like, a bunch, in the past two months. It is really depressing. sighs I won’t make my goal time, so I’m not even going to stress myself out about it. I just need to refocus.



I want to make this not a challenge anymore 22 months ago

Is there a way to do that?



The hotel where we are staying for the next two months 23 months ago

has an exercise room. I plan to try and make myself use it regularly. New environment . . . so hopefully, it will help me to change my bad habits into better ones.

I have gained . . . well, depending on the day and how much is due to bloating . . . somewhere between five and seven pounds in the last two months. This is a huge setback for me!!! I feel like shit, and I think that I look like shit. I don’t want to feel this way about myself, so I seriously need to find a way to motivate myself to do better.

So . . . someone (Des???) PLEASE get after me about using the exercise room after I get to Texas. I need to STOP being lazy and unmotivated because I really would like to stop being FAT!
