Too much air guitar

In highschool I fell in love with guitar and sometimes played for long stretches of time, just jamming contentedly in my bedroom. After a weird incident I let negative thoughts stop me from continuing and I’ve been out of practice for over 7 years. Thankfully I can still play a bit, but my speed, accuracy, and overall skill have gone to heck. Above all other desires regarding this goal, I really want to learn and perform some sentimental songs for my loved ones. And maybe be a rock star if I have time.
