Wouldn’t it be nice if I could actually enjoy my ten days off instead of worry about when and whether I’ll be able to get a job in the same town as my husband? That’s the plan anyway, starting on Friday! I’m really tired of listening to myself whine about the situation, and just want to gear down and relax some.

Today is a peaceful day; not a worried one. My fiancee has 3 different interviews in three cities in the next two months, and this will determine where we live, and consequently where I begin to look for work. But instead of finding something to worry about, I’m focused on the abundance of our possibilities. Right now it feels like all paths have the potential for good things for us. This feels a lot better than waiting for the sky to fall, and being afraid of what would be lost.
I was starting to get worried about how to re-career if I follow my boyfriend to a new as yet unknown location when he gets a permanent job. I looked at the Manpower site, and they have some sort of health insurance. Maybe doing a temporary assignment would at least be a way to pay some bills, and get insurance until I found something more suitable.
I’m actually starting to take my own advice here about this goal. Very little of what I worry about actually comes to pass, and worrying ahead of time is just exhausting. As a general rule, I’m pretty organized and do things ahead as much as possible. When something happens, I can approach a problem fairly quickly with possible solutions. It’s healthier to get out of the habit of worrying too. So yes, let’s all worry less and live more.
