Go an ENTIRE month without getting a parking ticket

BUT..i got 2 “warning” tickets…one in dc..
in the bus lane, on my cell, no seatbelt …. i know they shoulda thrown me in a cell with Paris….
the other was in VA…
45 in a 25.. thru the village of upperville…
BUT i was racing a thunderstorm home…
i had left a large antique wardrobe closet outside (dont ask..long story bout some neighbor kids and Narnia)...lucky for me the police man was an antique lover…. and let me get on my way…
i made it…. grannys wardrobe was saved…
and no OFFICIAL tickets!!

AS we speak..this very moment i am parked illegally..right outside my front window… im watching carefully..and have been for the past several hours!! how sad is this???
it is snowing to beat the band.. and my lil ole european sports car is still trapped behind a wall of snow about 4 feet high..
i had to resort to something i NEVER do..actual..never until now.. first time for everything..i keep a Monster Truck.. out in the country..its a long story but i need it out there…(there is NO trash service and i cant count on cowboys to take my trash to the county dump ALLL the time)
soo..today..i had to drive the MONSTER truck to the city..
im reasonably sure it will fit on the first level of the garage… but i am also just as sure..that i personally ..cant get it in there..!! then just to make things interesting..
Today is Chinese New Year (im in chinatown remember!!) AND Disney on Ice is at the Arena across the street with shows EVERY two hours… soooo the garage and the streets are even more populated than they would be normally… and icy..did i mention its snowing again!!!
add it altogether and its a big ole parking cluster fuck goat rodeo!!!
wish Me luck.. when the last of Disney Crowd leaves i hope to be able to navigate the MONSTER TRUCK…into the garage..or maybe just a legal spot!

this wont be the month..

i did’nt even know i got a ticket!!! on the 21st.. prob.. while i was getting my manicure…
but i logged onto the DC DMV site.. and ..put in my tag number..
and …. gave them my Credit Card No. AGAIN…
rrgh…
so technically..i got two this month..
125.00
and that doesnt include what i PAY for my garage….
the christmas stockings just got a little bit lighter

Ive been out “in the country” since Wed… sooo i haven’t gotten any tix..
i haven’t even parked illeagaly!! so THIS COULD BE THE MONTH!!

that not putting any money in the meter while i ran in for a quick manicure…. hardly seems worth mentioning..i WANTED to put money in the meter..but..i didnt have any change..i even walked round the block tocvs and bought a red bull.. so i could get cash back and then ask for change… but, force of habit,i pushed credit instead debit… and it was gonna be waaaaaaay tooo complicated to get “Miss Thang” behind the register to undo and re dothe sale….so i said..well fuck it.. i did TRY….
so got my mani.. NO Ticket!!!

Last night…. i pushed my luck… good thing.. Im a LUCKY GIRL!!I parked illeagally (im such a lazy bitch!!) TWICE … once in front of my place… just to run in and grab some stuff.. (it was a legal spot..i just didnt put any money in the meter)
and then later in Georgetown (where parking enforcement is known to swarm) ... but i swear.. i dont know how to use those new “credit card taking meters”.. not much of a defense cause i didnt have quarters for a regular meter either…. but… i didnt get a ticket either time!! soooo.. should i change my goal to “park legally” ... or let it ride with the “dont get caught… ” attitude…not sure..
im think im just gonna go with it for now.. cuz.. sooo far im successful with the NO Tix for a month thing...

but..then soo did last month and i got NAILED at the last moment with a 100.00 rush hour ticket.. rrgh..
the month before i only had one and it was only 25.00 sooo…. im feeling like its been one a month for a while and THIS could be the zero month! ... then ..the way i see it i have an Xtra hundred bucks to buy a round of drinks for the crew one night!
