Keep Fresh Flowers in the city

what the housekeeper may have done??? but these poor bastards (they used to be tulips) looked fine when i left the house yesterday morning! lol…

i looove tulips….and they are even nicer when they are a gift..

maybe i should try to stop on my way home… its not too pitiful. cause i DO have a Christmas tree.. (a shiny pink one!)
So… maybe i should hold out til tomorrow.. or sat.. so they will be fresh for the new year??
i do think im gonna be in the city (if i don’t get roped into a trip up to NYC) for the weekend..

1. Peonies – my very very very fave…sometimes the all white ones ..sometimes the ones with the shock of hot pink centers.. called bleeding hearts…but they are only available for a short time in the spring
2. Roses (not my fave but a good choice)
3. Lilys … a few go a long way..so economical in winter
4. Gerber Daisys..
   you know clean flowers..not really the “wild flowers” ..(i use them in the country)....so you see..i make it hard for myself… BUT…after trekking about whole foods, trader joes, safeway, looking for the perfect white flowers for the week.. i always feel better…..like im making the effort for myself.. and it is one of those little luxuries that i can do for me.. it reminds ME to take care of Me..
