well, my first real snowshoe trip was through 3-4ft of fresh snow. talk about a workout, i was late to work because i thought that i was just going to float over the whole thing. ha ha, anyway, had a great time and i’m planning on doing it more often. hit me up if anybody wants to snowshoe around the north tahoe region

well, i’ve bought some shoes during a tent sale and i can borrow some poles from work or just find some. Already have snowboarding day 1 under my belt this season just waiting for more white to get out on some trails with the shoes.
ok, so tahoe snow was a bust, oh well, i didn’t end up going as much as i thought and i never ended up renting. But, i did snowshoe when i was working this winter so that’s rad. i hope to get out more next year either when i’m working or when i’m playing. either way i’m leaving this on my list
well, it’s not actually sticking yet but it will be soon. The golfers are all leaving in droves and soon the snow will be coming down like crazy. I guess porters (and probably other ski/snow sport places) have a deal where you can rent a pare of snowshoes and then if you decide to buy them then the rental becomes free. good deal and one that i’ll probably take up this year to experience some backcountry tahoe
