It's been a year and I still have this goal...  — 1 year ago

I’ve been reading this series of books where the main character exercises every day. She jogs 3 miles and lifts weights. It is inspiring, but unrealistic for me. I definitely need to do something every day. I need to make up an exercise regime for myself. One that fits me and my schedule and low motivation. I will make one up today.

So, I haven't been exercising.  — 2 years ago

I have not been motivated. Exercise is very difficult for me. But, I must do this. I know, I know, start out slow. I know, I know, do something that I enjoy. I know, I know! I’ve read all the tips to starting an exercise program. My problem is the first step and then sticking with it. I will try to get in some exercise today.

so, I'm not exercising every day. . .  — 2 years ago

but I’m exercising more than I use to. My goal is to exercise everyday. Right now, I’m working my way up to it. This week I have been exercising about every other day. Better than last week. This is a slow process. I’ve been pretty much sedentary for a few years now and it has taken it’s toll. I don’t want to push too hard because then I will end up stopping.

so, now I have a heel spur.  — 3 years ago

This heel spur has been sneaking up on me all summer. I’ve been feeling the twinge and now it does bring some pain. Now what? I don’t want to aggravate it. But, I need to walk for exercise. I’ll tend to it like I’m suppose to and put ice on it and do the stretching exercises for it. I guess, I’ll continue walking but won’t push it. Any suggestions?

2 days in a row  — 3 years ago

have included intentional exercise. I actually got on the damn treadmill. Wow! doesn’t sound like much, but it is a big step for me. In fact, I spent the day yesterday rearranging furniture so that I can have the treadmill out and ready to be used. Before, it was folded up in a corner. Now, all I have to do is hop on and away I can go. I walked about 20 minutes on it yesterday and today I did a whopping 35! Hurray for me.

big step today  — 3 years ago

This week, I used my pedometer to help add some more walking into my day. For example, walking to the library. Well, today I finally got on the treadmill and walked for about 20 minutes. I surprised myself by actually wanting more! I couldn’t because I had to be someplace. Nevertheless, I look foward to the treadmill tomorrow. I hope this keeps up for a while.

and I read that 12,000 steps can help weight loss. Here’s to walking and walking and walking….

No exercise...  — 3 years ago

shame on me. I need to get walking! Okay, tonight I will take out my pedometer thing and figure out how to use it for tomorrow.

I made a decision. . .  — 3 years ago

I am going to start exercising tomorrow. Well, I’m going to start walking. I’m going to use my pedometer to help me keep record. I would love to do some step aerobics, but that will be too hard for me to keep doing. Walking I can do. I’m committed to start tomorrow.

Haven't done squat...  — 3 years ago
