These are two of my favourite photos of my son, as they show his personality. The one on top, is really not a smile. It was taken while he was complaining of gas discomfort at four weeks. Yet, it came out looking like a big smile, and I love it! The cut-out circle I made one day, for no particular reason and then left knocking around my craft table for weeks, until I picked up my Zision Chizzel-It, and decided to use it as an experiment in distressing paper. I thought it came out beautiful, but then I didn’t know what to do with it for another three weeks. That is, until it made its way into this layout.

This is the fourth layout I’ve done in the lasy month, and easily the best. I love the colours, and the textures in it.
My grandmother wanted me to do a page for her to put up on her bedroom door, and Mother’s Day gave me a good excuse. I used a fabulous coated netted ribbon I loved on sight, that I bought at Laurie Dash in Bridgetown, Barbados.
I also used a repeated embossed border along the right side, and embossed baby’s feet and hearts on the left lower corner. I used two sides of Brenda Walton’s Small Wonder’s Boy patterned paper, and a tag from the same collection.
I also used buttons from my mother’s awesome button collection, and contrasting ribbon bits to put the final touch on the vellum, which is from the Sweet Pea collection by K&Company.
This is the layout I like best of the few I’ve done, since I re-discovered my childhood love of scrapbooking recently.
