See the good in people instead of the bad

so i’ve just started talking to this kid that i used to go to middle school with. he was the biggest troublemaker, i stayed away from him cause i just couldn’t stand him. and i met up with him back a few months ago and we started talking, and i realized for once that people can really change. he’s a completely different person than i remember. it’s so strange to see such a drastic difference. i hadn’t seen him in maybe 3 years or so, and now he’s one of the nicest, smartest people. he’s easy to talk to, and he knows what he’s talking about cause he’s been through a lot. i guess i just needed convincing that people can really change if they want to, and that not all bad people STAY bad.

this is killing my relationship with my boyfriend. he says that i hate too many people and he’s scared i don’t even like him. i need to learn that not everyone is out to get me. i wish i knew how, though.
