take a sewing class

Yesterday I took a 2 1/2 hour class that taught us the basics of threading needles, bobbins and basic stitches on several different types of machines. It was very informative and got us comfortable with using a sewing machine. In the class room next door folks were cutting out patterns to make their first skirts or pants. I am looking forward to taking that class!

I decided that a sewing class will be my gift to self. I found an affordable class downtown and it meets on Saturdays at 4pm. It starts the second week of January. I am signing up!

taking a class isn’t in my budget right now. so i decided to practice sewing on some old fabric i had laying around and then i hemmed a pair of pants. they don’t look horrible.
