see the northern lights

i saw them last night, really late. i was already in bed, but my husband called me from work and told me to go outside. i couldnt see them from my house, so i jumped in my car in my pajamas and drove until i could see them. it was so beautiful. flares of green ribbons streaked across the sky, dancing into oranges and reds, and fading back into night. it was a spiritual moment for me. very cool

i want to see the northern lights so bad! i just moved to alaska where all my friends say they’ve seen them. as soon as i got here my sister called from montana (where ive lived 18 years and never seen them) and said she saw the most amazing lights. now all i have to do is wait, because right now there are only 3 hours of night or so. hopefully when there are only 3 hours of day i’ll see some!
