I am mean to my boyfriend because of my own issues. I really do see too much in him that I hate in myself. It’s sad. I argue with him all the time for fun. Yes, I like to argue for enjoyment and I don’t mean it maliciously. I also criticize him way too often.
Instead he treats me very nicely and always has (except for his stint in of not wanting a long-term commitment, but at least he was honest). He makes my lunch and breakfast. Does most of the shopping. Pays the mortgage of the house we both own. Says polite nice things to me. Does not criticize my enumorous issues. Barely criticizes me when I complain to him about his issues. He does more housework than I do. It’s pretty sad.
Why am I such a perfectionist when it comes to how I want him to behave, yet I’m not even that nit picky with myself??!
I feel sorry for my boyfriend and wish he would rebel and stand up for himself. He’s to nice and his self esteem is to low to stand up for himself.
