I’ve been working up a storm this week so tonight I sat down to practice three new rhythms on my djembe drum. At first, I was very tense. All the frantic energy from the day came out. It was so bad that I even thought that my drum was out of tune at first!
But after awhile, I got into the groove. I relaxed and became aware of my breathe, of how my hands hit the drum. It was a very wonderful active meditation.
