I saw an entry on writing USB drivers and the Linux version seemed so much easier and I just want to be able to interface with the USB port. The Window’s API seemed like it had a lot of redundant, overlapping routine calls that’d make it a murderous affair. However, this doesn’t mean I’ll give on completely on my Windows system: I’m just planning on extracting the best of both worlds, without being forced to accept the negatives of one as is the symptom of absolute dependence.
Now I have no idea in which direction I’ll proceed. I assume I’ll have to pick a distribution, but which is better for development(Or are they all equally good?)?
