I visited the Cathedral. I didn’t go to the city centre though. We stayed for about 2 hours.

Mandatory picture outside cathedral (I look awful…I was very tired :s)
I went on a sailing holiday and we picked the ship up in Portsmouth. Because we had to get on at 1 o’clock we stayed over and we got to see some of the city.
It is a nice city. There are hundreds of benches! literally a bench every metre! the city itself isn’t very large and it may be a bit boring in the winter, but it would be lovely in the summer.
There was a little fairgound and a castle which was actually tiny! and loads of grassy areas.
This is like Chester. The majority of the city is the university so most of the touristy stuff is university related. The city itself isn’t very big so it would only make a day trip. We found that there was a suprising amount of French people and we’re not sure why (like 75% of the people in the street!).
Just for the day, but to be honest there isn’t really a lot to do.
I didn’t see some of the touristy things, but I saw the canal, the city walls, the clock, the cathedral and the town hall.
Here are all the cities in the UK. I will make another post with the ones coloured in that I have been to.
My friend was telling me that she gets annoyed when people visit exotic places, yet they haven’t visited their own country. Therefore, I will make it my goal to visit every city in the UK. I am not sure if I will include Ireland, but I suppose I could do all them in one trip. I have visited many places, but not in a touristy way, so I will make a rule that some tourist attractions in the city centre must take place.
