to “feel the fear and do it anyway”.

made the appointment for my mom for the abdominal ultrasound, rescheduled the potential tutor’s next session.
Even thought I was paged three times and had about 3 hours of not-restful sleep I got up Saturday morning and got Max to his doctor’s appointment on time :) (instead of canceling). I felt like a zombie but still got a lot accomplished at the appointment!
got through the online course for the D stuff.
scheduled the meeting through the painful new online reservation system
boxed up baby gift and papers for mailing to J.
printed out, signed and have ready to mail docs for C.
grocery shopping for K and paid her rent.
onto the new iPad2 for Max. He’s already learned how to use a couple of them by himself :) The ChoiceWorks app will take some setup. Not sure why I dread software installation and setup so much?
spent about 2 hours fixing Flash player on my workstation. Had to run a de-installer, download a new version of Flash and install it. Now I can use the online Learning Courses at work :)
frog #1:had to ask a special favor from the desktop support guy to wipe my laptop and I was already late returning it. He was really, really nice about it and turned out to be super-simple: insert a disk, hit a few keys, watch the ” wipe is _% complete” increment until it was 100%.
frog #2: driving then parking downtown to sign the finance papers for the energy upgrades. Turned out their was a Mariners game today and I’d already re-scheduled the appointment once. Added another 30 minutes to my original driving-time estimate. Ended up paying for garage parking and walking 7 blocks to the finance office. Downside: the girl that scheduled our appointment neglected to update the loan officer so none of our paperwork was ready. Upside: the loan officer was a sweetheart and got organized very quickly and got us out of there in a trice!
I had really been dreading both these things today and am glad to have them accomplished! ribbit!
with the gracious Naladaka’s invitation. I really like the idea of making dreaded tasks into “frogs”. Wouldn’t it be cool if Chocolate Frogs (as in Harry Potter) existed? Then I could eat a symbolic chocolate frog when I vanquish an “Eat That Frog!” goal :)
