write a book

I wrote, “The Adventures of Summer Storm and Warm Wind” and “Nohkom” under the pen name Leah Winterstanding. These books have been published and I just finished the first draft of “Asha and her new moccasins”. When I thought about writing a book I was thinking about my life story, but it did not turn out that way, advice would be just let the pen flow and see what comes from it.

I am starting to collect ‘words’ from people. My book is called “The Red Warriors – confessions from a Red Warrior’s Old Ladee Wannabe.” I met someone recently who told me – that when he and his woman split up they just tore the blanket in half – meaning the star blanket thats given like an engagement ring to welcome one into their family. I kept the starblanket, its so beautiful. I just folded it up and packed it away, one day when I let go I will give it away. I am not prepared to do that yet.

Thats the title of my book. It’s a funny book, full of my dating history for the past 6.5 years. When “Must Love Dogs” came out I could have sworn that it was the story of my life. Only I didn’t date my dad. After everyone and their dog tried to set me up on a date I decided I better start writing this all down, and share the funny adventures. Oh I wrote two children books and have them published under a pen name…it is possible to write your own book.
