When I set this goal...I never imagined the transformation of myself

I thought about this, and the goal was to be kind, loving and show unconditional love. Never did I imagine that a transformation of myself spiritually, emotionally, physically would occur. To become Christlike entails dying to oneself in all areas, its to be illuminated with the Holy Spirit’s power and glory, and its total self changing, taking off the old wineskin and putting on a new one, to have a ministry that the focus is showing the world the fruits of the spirit, and living out those fruits such as self control, love, peace, kindness, patience, gentleness, faithfullness and joy – those are the first steps in becoming like Jesus (how naive I really was) God bless you always.

Receiving more than I ever imagined...

When I first added this goal, I prayed about it. I thought I would be kind, loving, forgiving, peaceful, full of grace, be merciful to all, and to show God’s light through my life. However, ultimately to be like Jesus means suffering as Jesus did, to gain understanding, suffering through affliction to be refined not as silver, but to be purified. Thus changing the old and putting on a new wineskin. I haven’t been on here for a while as God is bringing through the wilderness to the promise land, and if I had understanding before its nothing like the transformation that has occurred now. It’s only through loniliness, death of a loved one, suffering, loss of job, loss of home, loss of many things the world gives us that we learned the true meaning of what its like to be like Jesus who choose the nails on the cross, who was afflicted by the thorns, who suffered the pains of sins for us, the unsinner, the Holy one, who gave his life so that I may have salvation, that I may have life, that I may receive an inheritance and the glory of the heavenly realms when my work on earth is done. All is well as God is with me as he transforms me step by step to be like Jesus. May God’s love be with you always.

Teaching by the Holy Spirit

I just finished reading “Going Deeper with the Holy Spirit” by Benny Hinn, and have been striving to be in obedience to the Holy Spirit – the other evening as I was driving down the street I seen a prostitute ( I don’t even know how to spell that???) Well the Holy Spirit told me to pray for her and I did, and I prayed for her like she was my own sister, I prayed with a love and understanding for her that had never been there before. I felt spirit led and spirit filled as I prayed for her. The Holy Spirit is our comforter and counsellor and I am so thankful to God for sending us his Holy Spirit.

Holiness...

Have you ever experienced Holiness? I have it was absolutely amazing. I prayed, I read the bible and I asked for annointing and I kept my best from sinning with all sins, thoughts, actions, and I kept myself pure, then one day while praying I felt like there was warm liquid on my forehead and I kept wiping it away but nothing was there, it was an ultimate blessing howevever sin destroys the Holiness, it comes between you and God, and I realized that when the time comes to meet my Lord and Savior that I don’t want anything to stand in the way of that Holiness.

Passing a test...

The other morning I was walking for a starbuck coffee – as spoiled as I am…when I almost stopped dead in my tracks, I seen a very thin woman crouched down on the ground and she was eating “puritan irish” stew right out of the can. I passed her and thought I need to do something. I had no cash on me or bank teller card and yet the Holy Spirit had my attention. I got my coffee and got her somethign to eat. On the way back she was gone, I looked and continued walking. A few blocks down, out of the corner of my eye I seen her hiding in a corner – still crouched down, and I said “Hello what is your name?” ...she said, Alison. I said hello Alison I bought you something. She took it, then I said. “Alison, Jesus Saves you know”. She said. “I know, and winked at me” I almost started crying at that moment, because I believe I met Jesus on the street, and I passed a test.

Faith...

When God parted the Red Sea for the Isralites, they had to step into the water first and have faith. He just didn’t part the Red Sea and they walked out on it. It requiries great faith. In order from me to be like Jesus I need to have great faith, no matter what the world throws my way.

Revelation from God...

The other day i was walking and praying and just having conversations with God about my life, and the question was….why? and in a split second I got the answer – it was like God showed me everything a split second, and the answer is….because I have been mentored by the world, I have educated by the world, I have been educated by man, the books I read and people who mentored are of the world. God said, read your Bible, follow Jesus’s examples and allow the Holy Spirit to enter you and change you. To be like Jesus, non judgemental and showing God’s love continually.

I continue to change...

I find myself to be more forgiving and less judging and more accepting of people. I strive to love unconditionally and expect nothing in return. One of the things I have learned from Jesus is he sought solitude times when he went & meditates and prayes. I need to do that more seek time alone and just listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say to me rather than always praying. Listen to the Holy Spirit, and hear what God has to say to me.

To be like Jesus

To be like Jesus is the ultimate for me, to be quick to forgive, to love freely everyone, to have faith in all humanity, to allow the Holy Spirit to empower me and most important not to be afraid to share God’s love and what God has done for me in my life. I need to work on my obedience and humility.
