find a job i love

It looks like a pretty awesome job – here’s hoping…

I think I need to brush off and update by resume. (A good idea in any event.) I think my supervisor is totally overwhelmed and not capable of dealing/processing with the transition that she is trying to implement. Anyway – still trying to see if things will settle down -but I really doubt they will. Good time to look around and update my resume and other information. Also, it serves to make my job more tolerable if I’m being proactive in this regard.

The next few weeks will tell me a lot about the organization – and myself. I’ll see how it goes…

The current job is spiraling out of control quickly. I’m giving it until the end of the month to see if the workplace can settle down a bit. If not, I’ll start to look for another job – it’s pretty frickin’ dysfunctional right now.

Since my last entry…I like it a lot more than my last job – but I don’t quite love it. Still thinking on this one…

which I realize I need to do, but it sort of cheeses me off, because I’d rather not be thinking about work on the weekend.

Which went well, I suppose…no raise but the language used was very nice. “We like having you here” etc. Another person was fired last week, so I don’t know – I certainly don’t enjoy the work I do and I could easily be fired (I feel) with the current restructuring going on. Ugh.

Update my resume, start looking through the paper, and send out some emails to my friends who are “connectors” (one in particular).
Inertia is my enemy…must start the process.

Interesting how the past couple of days have shaken out to show me that, in all likelyhood, this job will not change into anything I love. I’m going to start looking for a new job this weekend. If my eval and job restructuring turn out to be perfect, great – if not, I’ll have already started the hunt.

Seems that things are starting to change around a bit here at work and i might be able to move around into a different department.
