travel by train

my parents are visiting me in morocco and there is a good train system in the north between marrakech and casablanca, rabat, fez, etc. soon soon.

the perfect train trip!

amtrak has a 30 day unlimited riding plan for around $550 dollars off peak and $750 peak… soooo, i would take a cross country backpacking train trip

buffalo -> chicago (stay in the hostel international chicago hostel, which kicks ass, by the way) -> north dakota (to stay on a dude ranch, seriously, what could be cooler?) -> glacier national park in montana (i have been wanting to go here) -> seattle/vancouver/portland and then back! oh, i can’t wait! it’s still a few years off, but i will definitely do this.
