Save $ for my emergency fund

I have $130 saved so far, but I’ve been saving for a car and the wedding, so this goal has taken a beating unfortunately. Hey, at least I’m debt free!

Should be debt free by March. Began saving this month. My goal is to have my emergency fund complete a few years from now. (It’s a hefty emergency fund.)

I added this goal to Quicken, so it’s becoming more of a real goal for me. Maybe this will actually motivate me to save more. My deadline is December 31st, 2008. It’s an aggressive deadline believe it or not, but it’s good to have aggressive goals!

I’ve wasted a lot of $. I throw away so much $ on dining out and clothing. I really need to learn to cut back and start saving.

I haven’t been saving any money at all. In fact, I’ve been going in the opposite direction. I have a little credit card debt now, but I should have it paid off by the middle of July. I haven’t been allowing myself to buy anything lately, because I bought a lot in the past couple months…new desk, new bike and some other stuff. Anyways, once I get things back under control, I’m going to work on this. I really need to start saving again.

The divorce decree doesn’t actually say that I changed my name, so now I need to provide proof. What a pita. Will fax to 888-464-3220 when I get around to it.

Faxed my divorce decree over and it should take a day or two for it to get through the system. Verified my checking account a few weeks ago, so once the name is changed on my account, I will be able to start saving in the new account.

Well, I have to verify my checking account and the deposits were made back in october 2005, but my bank can’t find them and either can I in quicken, so now they are resending the deposits. Going to look Friday and get this taken care of, so that I can open a new account soon.

Trying to set up my new savings account, but first I have to verify my checking account and then I need to fax my divorce decree to them.
