Pay it Forward

In September of 2008, I started contributing $10 per month to Water Aid:

I’ve been very blessed in my life so far and I wanted to start giving back. I was very skeptical when I started looking online for a place to donate money to. I wanted to make sure the place is legit, but I also didn’t want my donation to go to a cause with a narrow scope, such as a specific disease or a specific disaster. I chose WaterAid, because their focus is simply safe water and sanitation, which is such a basic need for everyone.

I hope to start contributing to another cause in April.

Picked up some old lady along route 80 last weekend and took her to the gas station and let her use my phone. Her car had died.

Last week I did something nice for my old neighbor. It was something very simple, but it felt good. I’ve been saving all of my unpacked boxes from moving and they were driving me nuts, but I didn’t want to throw them away and I knew my old neighbor was moving and would need the boxes, so I dropped them off at her house. She was very grateful. It was a very small gesture, but it felt good to help someone out.
