be less selfish

In some ways I am not very selfish. In others though, I can be quite selfish. For instance, I take my friend’s husband’s blind sister home with me every couple months. Usually it’s not out of my way and I don’t charge for gas. She did give me gas money once though and occassionally I do go way out of my way to take her all of the way home. It’s kind of a pain, but I find I can be very unselfish and too nice some times.

On the other hand, in relationships (whether they are romantic or plutonic) I tend to be selfish and I need to work on it.

Giving up on this goal, so I can focus on another one.

This is so hard. I’ve really begun to work at this and I just don’t know how I’ll ever manage.

I’ve been working at listening to people more.

I’ve decided to take up this goal today. I;ve been working at this a lot in the past few months. I don’t consider myself to be selfish at all. I am usually very giving, but I need to be less selfish in conversations.
