Well, I’ve been working on my HanaMoira Photo Studios website and have finally settled on a look and feel that I like. The hard part is deciding what pictures to put into my galleries. I take alot of pictures (digital media definately makes this affordable), but can spend hours trying to decide what will best fit into the gallery concept.
I tend to do pictures from everyday life, but want to expand that to doing studio work. I’m not interested in doing standard portraits, but would rather explore the human nature through the lens. Abstract images, focal point shots, nudes, exotic, to capturing the emotions of the minute, I want to explore the potential of this reality we call life while putting a dream-like fantastical twist to the frame.
My next step is to turn my garage into a studio where I can set up backdrops and the appropriate lighting. While my wife is more than happy to be a model for me, I want to find individuals who want to walk a similar path. I know I can’t pay anything upfront for professional models, but I like the idea of helping someone start their dream while helping myself learn how to become a better artist.
Any thoughts or recommendations is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to 43things and all its members for providing a place like this where we can all give each other a helping hand.
