sail

hell yeah, went sailing today. felt good to be on a boat again. my friend and i just went out for like 3 hours. we ended up messing stuff up and the owner has to spend like two hours fixing it, but whatever. i guess that’s a perk i get for being in a sailing club. here’s a pic! :-) we’re going again tomorrow for a bigger adventure. i’m glad im back into the swing of things again!

well i’m planning on going sailing this tuesday in the 23’ san juan. i need to make reservations tomorrow, as well as find someone to go with. both of those will be way easier if my power is back tomorrow.

so here’s the scoop. last time i went sailing, we took out an older santana 23’, and somehow we couldnt get the sail up. it was very disheartening. yeah, haha, i couldnt “get it up,” i know. anyways, hopefully that won’t happen again.

i’ve had kind of a busy schedule and crappy weather recently, so i haven’t gone sailing in two weeks. it’s kind of depressing, and i’m not sure if i’ve been making excuses or if i have legitimate reasons not to go. right now it’s sunny, but hell, this morning i was scraping frost off my car (i usually garage my car, but we have no power so i left it outside). i was in texas for a few days last week. we’ve had weather that doesn’t permit sailing. so anyways my goal is simply to go again, and that damn better be before the new year! i ain’t paying my sailing club fees for nothin.
