earn my own money

I think my last entry talked about how I gave up on looking for a job and got myself an internship instead at a law firm. So I went to meet the partner of the firm who went through with me what I would be doing, and brought up the subject of money. At that point I had given up the search for greens so I told him that I was simply interested in gaining experience (in complete sincerity), and he was like oh we still like to give our trainees a little something for incentive!!

So, even though it’s a little something, it’s still something!!!!!

I am going to obviously join this with my other goal of saving money, and then join THAT with the ultimate goal of buying my mom the SUPREME gift… no more said until I achieve stage 2 of my 3-tier goal, no more jinxes!!!

Ok, my goal was to get my first summer job ever, but it looks like that’s not going to happen! I searched like a crazy person for a job, but where I live they don’t really get the concept of SUMMER JOBS.
Anyways, after two weeks of searching, I finally gave up, and turned to my dad for help. I love the irony of this! I want financial independence from my dad, and yet, I want him to help me get a job.
Since I’m studying law, he thought it would be appropriate to search for somewhere in that field, and so he called his lawyer friend, and now I have work in his firm!!
BUT… it’s just an internship, not an actual paid job… at least I think so! I’m going to meet the man in two days, after he gets back from London, and clear things up properly..

Oh well! at least I’ll be doing something! Maybe when I go back to college I’ll be employed for REAL!
