My assistant is full time for the summer and I have finished off a couple of big projects and so work is not as ridiculous now as it has been. It’s a welcome change, although not the permanent one that this goal envisions yet.

I never want to say no to a client. I never want to get rid of a client. I feel like I’m deserting them… and it’s ridiculous because they have no loyalty to me. If they don’t need me, then they don’t call. No guilt.
But now I’m too busy. Too many clients. It’s not even profitable because I waste my time driving and invoicing and answering emails and I could bill more with less clients if they were good clients.
So… my goal is to relinquish the guilt. To set some timelines and start telling clients that I can’t work for them anymore. To say NO to new work. (The problem is that the new stuff always sounds so enticing!)
This is a long-term project. But it needs to happen. I can feel myself burning out.
