a picture of the tattoo I had done a few weeks ago. It is no longer red or sore so it looks like it should. It was a bit bigger than I anticipated but now I feel that that is not such a bad thing. If you are going to do something like this, you need to do it well. No half measures, so to speak. :)

Thing is that the tattoo guy I like has his studio in Copenhagen while I live in Amsterdam. That complicates matters a little, especially since he is really popular and booked up most of the time. So I need to decide when to go etc. In a way it becomes a money issue as well because apart from the actual tattoo, I also need to buy a ticket and possibly accommodation. Hmmmm.
But at least design and artist and location of tat on body have been picked out! :)
Need to take into account the southward slide of body parts as one ages. Also, need to find the right spot and design. But I think I will get one. Probably when the opportunity arises.
I’m looking for a small turtle design to put on my hip or shoulder. It should be recognisable and not too large. There are a gazillion designs to be found on the internet but I haven’t found the right one yet. Any tips?
And: how do you know a good tattoo shop? I don’t want to screw up on this.
I was thinking of getting a small turtle but I can’t seem to find a good design. I am a bit embarrassed about asking someone to make a design for me and that I would than have it tattood even if I did not like it that much because that person would have gone to all that trouble for me. You know?
