Skipped my Active routine yesterday 6 months ago

Because I was wandering around the zoo snapping pictures of animals and squeeing over my camera. But I got back in the routine today and noticed that the program just inserted ‘Rest day’ for yesterday and moved the whole schedule one day ahead. Brilliant.

Another day of Active 6 months ago

Although it makes me sweat, it is not too hard.

Did another day of Active. 6 months ago

Sweaty again. Legs hurt a little. Tomorrow is a rest day.

Back on track? 6 months ago

Started a AE program for the Wii, called AE Active. Means I have a personal training program and if I don’t do it… I was going to say I was going to have my ass kicked but really the worst that could happen is for me to disappoint a machine. Hm.

So I did my program for that today. Took me 25 minutes. Made me all sweaty. :)

Ullo!!! 6 months ago

Yep, an entry by me again! Having done 32 minutes of Wii workout. :)

So how is everyone doing??? 7 months ago

Ny and Pixy are keeping it up alright! A bit of Oasis but otherwise… come on people! :p

Uh, oh yeah… me.

Well I ran today to complete my 12 runs goal. Did that. But running still hurts like hell so I’m not sure I’m going to do that again. Maybe in time I’ll get some advice about shoes and things but for now it is just too painful. Too bad.
How-e-vah.
The next exercise goal for me will be the 200 sit-ups goal. And in the mean time I will be doing other things so I won’t let you down!

Running May 7th 7 months ago

Did 17 minutes of running but the pain in my legs is really not fun. Average pace is at all time lowest. I’m starting to agree that running may not be the best thing for me. Do I really need to go to a gym to work on some cardio then? Oh dear I hope not. I’ll finish my 12-runs goal and then I’ll concentrate on yoga for a bit and when I get back from Japan I’ll also start on the sit-ups. Maybe I’ll make a start with that earlier only to pick it up again after the vacation. I can’t imagine keeping myself to a schedule like that in a ryokan with my friend S. :)

Bad. 7 months ago

Went running today, despite my misgivings about pretty much anything today, and lo! and behold: it went badly. My legs hurt so much that I just couldn’t keep running and walked half the way. My average pace has never been so low. It was just godsawful.

Extended my run 8 months ago

Today I did a 20 minute routine which means that I walked a bit first before I started running and kept going (running and sometimes a bit walking) until I got to 20 minutes. Overall this is working because my body gets used to exercising for longer periods of time. Only challenge: I’m going to need a different place to run because the park across the street is really small and I’m getting tired of running the same small round. And the people along the field watching me pant by time and again. :D I would like to get to a 5km routine so that I can go for a round of the Sloterplas – ultimately it is my aim to run the 5km Sloterplasloop which is held twice a year. But for that I would have to keep running for a full 5 km. :)

HUZZAH and HURRAY !!! 8 months ago

Yeah I ran again today. I talked with my friend R about his running routine and he said he always walked a bit first to get warm and ‘into it’ and I figured that would be a good idea for me too. So I warmed up by walking first and that helped. Actually even including the walk at the beginning, my average pace did not go down! Hurray, you learn something new every day.

Having said that:

HURRAY for all of you team members on this goal (if you’re not a team member but would like to be, ask someone to invite you as a team member!) a great big cheer for your efforts! I am impressed with how you give your best to work towards your own goals, in your own tempo, under your own circumstances. Absolutely wonderful!

Maybe now is as good a time as any to let the rest of us know how you think you have been doing? Are you satisfied with what you’ve done so far? Remind us (and maybe yourself?) of your aims again?

For those team members who have joined up but didn’t post yet: let us know what you’ve been doing! Need more motivation? What can we do for you?

CHEEER!!!
