5 for April 19
  1. Finished my stuff for work.
  2. Had tea with the guy as he got off work early. (This is not really an achievement but I’m listing it anyway.
  3. Blew off our partner organisation in such a kind way that he was actually quite pleased on the phone. We won’t be working with them but that’s okay.
  4. Happy kidlets.
  5. Saw the show for work – hey, I showed up! I didn’t stay to chat with the makers though. I’m not a social type. I should’ve. But I didn’t.


5 for April 18

1. Worked: did most of what I had to do today.
2. Went to ukelele lesson, the first one. That was frustrating as hell.
3. Put the kidlets to bed and they didn’t object.
4. Chatted with my co-worker and that was nice.
5. Did my bit to secure our intern’s next internship.

6. Wrote a letter to Smarts.



5 for April 17

1. Worked. On several projects at once. And didn’t drop any balls. Yet.
2. Had a good conversation with total strangers.
3. Practised uke.
4. Asked sharp questions. Me so smart. Hmpf.
5. Bought and wrote card for Smartie. Never mind that I didn’t send it yet. (There was one from her when I got home though! Yay!)

1. Scaled Mount Laundry.

2. Took the kidlets on the train to brother’s birthday.

3. Worked a tiny bit.

4. Wrote 3 blogs including photos.

5. Took boots to shoemaker for mending.

1. Worked a bit while the minions napped.

2. Made a start on Mount Laundry.

3. Delivered the new business cards and present to S’s house with the minions. That was nice.

4. Made a prompt reply to my coworker in the evening so she can get on with things tomorrow morning.

5. Practiced ukelele in the evening. I now remember one basic chord sequence though I have no idea if I am doing it right.

1. Went to zoo with minions. We all survived.

2. Remembered to send logins to C for website.

3. Dishes again.

4. Practiced ukelele.

5. Made smoothies in the morning.



5 for April 13

1. Dishes. (Dishwasher broke so did them by hand. Also now have a clean kitchen.)

2. Bought a ukelele. (Nearly forgot! Also bought lessons subscription so that’s gonna happen.)

3. Practiced some uke already. (That was fun but I do need a bit of lessons.)

4. Set Lisa straight about crying for attention. (She did this before. She of course figured out that I will pay attention to her when she cries and then she developed this habit of crying over nothing because obviously good things like hugs follow, right? I told her that this will not continue to happen and that I would be more happy to give her hugs and kisses if she just tells me she would like some. Surprisingly, she cried a lot less after I explained this to her. We still cuddled a lot.)

5. My phone is by my bed now. (This sounds not so fabulous but actually it enables me to do a bit of 43 before I turn in, most notably this goal and the question of the day. And now I will read some to easy my synapses. Loves.)

  • Cleaned kitchen
  • Cleaned kitchen GOOOOD! (Ya dig?)
  • Tidied the living room so that furniture has emerged
  • Put in two hours of solid work while motherinlaw was babysitting
  • Seem to have landed an additional freelance job (if the budget comes through) although I’m not quite sure if I can handle it on top of everything else – but hey, it’s an achievement, especially in these hard times!

  • Kicked husband’s ass
  • Made dinner
  • Finished The Hobbit
  • Showered and got kiddies ready for outside in 45 mins together
  • Didn’t actually hit the husband

  1. Work meeting without looking too much like an idiot
  2. Made new pictures for the booklet and they turned out okay
  3. New blog entry (finally!)
  4. Made dinner
  5. No yelling at the kidlets
