Moving offices is a great motivation of going through things.
I’m glad I’ve already half-sorted my desk before the abrupt news that my section is moving to the other side of the floor. There’s a lot of paper so I sorted them out, kept the ones that can be reused and took home the rest for recycling.
My desktop and drawers are orderly now. Go me!
At home, I got a little sneaky. I sorted out one of my storage boxes, mercilessly tossing things out… and then I sorted out stuff lying around on the floor and crammed those into the newly vacated space in the box. These are things that can wait a while.

About two weeks ago, I cleared out a whole pile of clothes that I haven’t touched in years. Mum went through them to see if there’s anything she wanted, and the rest is going into the pile we’re donating.
I just took down a stash of bags that I haven’t used or retired. Since I haven’t touched them in a while, I guess I don’t need them either.

I gave away my MacDonald’s Happy Meal toys away earlier this week. They resided on my office desk because I didn’t want to clutter up my bedroom, but I got tired of them. They are off to make new friends with some under privileged kids somewhere. Meanwhile, I have a few more of those lying around the house.

The above was what’s on my mind when I had to clear out my bedroom for a small renovation a few days ago. I don’t know where all these things came from.
Okay… I do. Years of hoarding.
Most of my things are in boxes somewhere right now. I only have the basic essentials out, and I figure when I can’t find something, I’ll have to start searching in boxes. Too bad Google doesn’t have a search function for RL. It’ll be so useful to be able to go:
Search > Room > Spare AA Batteries
