I’ve been working towards this for many years and now it’s time to do it again. I left a job that I once loved but turned into a nightmare almost four years ago. I’m so glad I did and no longer have that anxiety. I’m home with my kids which I what I wanted. Now I have that gnawing to improve myself yet again. I’ve been struggling with the weight loss, I need to drop 30-40lbs. I’ve already cut out meat, milk and alcohol so next is sugar and junk. So, here’s my list with a timeline:
As of July 17th 2007-
Cut out all sugar, high fructose corn syrup, processed and fast foods and increase my fruit and vegetable intake.
Stick to my Weight Watchers daily points allowance
Walk 5 miles a day 5 days a week (I walk about 3-3.5 now)
Incorporate strength training 3 days a week. Very little for the first month.
As of today I am 163lbs. My goal by August 17th is to drop 15lbs and bring my down to 148lbs. This should be no problem as long as I stick with my diet and cut the sugar. Since I basically live on it now I should see a dramatic change. On August 17th I will then re-evaluate my goals and tweak them accordingly.
I promise that I will stick with this although I know that when I’m in a situation such as a bbq etc I will exercise my best judgement as far as choices/portion sizes are concerned.
I will report on my progress daily.
