Let’s see.. I’m 24, I live in a hockey crazed country, but Ive never seen an NHL game live. Seen 100s on TV, met a few players, but not once have I ever sat in a nice big arena to see an NHL game live.
Basically there are a few things to achieving this goal.
1. Choose the teams I’d like to see play
2. Choose which team I’d have to home ice..
3. Form a budget
4. Buy tickets
5. Make it happen!
Ive accomplished #1. I’d like to see the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Montreal Canadiens.
Now onto number 2… See now, I live in Canada so I just assumed that visiting Montreal would be a lot easier than crossing the boarder and going down to Pittsburgh.. Not so. I looked into making a budget, plane tickets return to Montreal, were $100 MORE than flying to Pittsburgh… So this is as far as I’ve gotten before hitting a road block in my plans.
Sooo now I’ve created a NEW plan! I’ll wait until the end of the 08-09 season. Then when the 2009-10 schedule becomes available, I’ll decide which city I’m gonna go to!! So I guess all plans are currently on hold until the summer!!
