graduate high school

I’ve ordered my cap and gown (procrastinated: a month late).
I’ve done all but one portfolio task and all I have left to do is:
1. Pay $50 senior dues.
2. Log my 15 community service hours.
3. Finish my US Role In The World Essay (portfolio task).

I’m ordering my cap and gown on Monday!
As for dropping out, that is on the back of my mind right now. I was accepted into my school’s alternative program and recieved one of my english credits today! I only have one more to earn and I’m required to pass all of my classes I’m enrolled in at the regular school (which should be a breeze). Also, I’m going to be working on one of my (three) portfolio tasks starting next week, and then all I need to do is finish the other two tasks in the learning center and file for my community service hours and I’m done!
Wow, that seems like a lot more in writing than it feels like in my mind.

This goal grows further and further away every day. I’m now seriously considering dropping out and getting my GED.

LAST YEAR.
Graduation is on June 10th, 2007.

One year left?
I’m getting senioritis already.
And there’s still a month left of this year.

It starts Tuesday. YESSS.
Only one and a half years to go.

My portfolios aren’t close to being finished.
I have a long way to go.
Yet, I still have the rest of this year and the next.

How come the time period seems so short?
